The May North is an original progressive alt-grass stringband from the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Our original music is influenced by our backgrounds in many styles of music. We have spent 2011 writing new music, recording our first album, and playing venues and festivals in Minneapolis/St. Paul, surrounding suburbs, and Winona, Minnesota. We celebrated the release of our debut full-length album, "Songs from the North Country," with a pair of album release shows at Ed's (no name) Bar in Winona, MN, and the 331 Club in Minneapolis.
